Lenovo is releasing three new Legion gaming laptops. The new laptops include next-gen Ryzen 5000 processors and Nvidia’s next-gen RTX GPUs.
The updated Lenovo models include the Lenovo Legion 7, Slim 7 and Legion 5 Pro. They all now include the Ryzen 5000 processors and the new RTX GPUs, allowing them to branch into both gaming and creative work. They’re also all price quite reasonable considering what they have to offer. Let’s take a closer look at all three.
Lenovo Legion 7
The new Lenovo Legion 7 increases its display and aspect ratio size over the previous model. Now, the laptop features a 16-inch display and a 16:10 aspect ratio. In total, the 2021 model increases the screen space by 11 percent. Its display is a 2560 x 1600 IPS display with a 165Hz refresh rate. Additionally, the display offers a 3ms response time, 500 nits of brightness, HDR 400 certification with Dolby Vision support, and Nvidia G-Sync.
As stated previously, the Legion 7 sports the next-gen AMD Ryzen 5000 processors, up to a Ryzen 9 and Nvidia’s next-gen RTX laptop GPUs. Also, it features up to 32 GB of 3200MHz DDR4 RAM and up to 2TB of M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD storage.
Lenovo Legion Slim 7
Compared to the previous model, the Legion Slim 7 is even more slim and weighs just 4.2 pounds. In fact, this is likely the lightest and thinnest Legion laptop ever released. Just like the Legion 7, it features the next-gen AMD and Nvidia components. Ad for its display, you can opt for a 15.6-inch 4K (3840 x 2160) IPS display with 60Hz refresh rate or a 1920 x 1080 panel with a 165Hz refresh rate.
Lenovo Legion 5
Lastly, we have the Lenovo Legion 5. The updated laptop is offered in three versions. Those versions are the Legion 5 Pro, and a 15-inch or 17-inch version of the normal Legion 5. The Pro version’s display is closer to the Legion 7’s display. It’s a 16-inch display with a 165Hz refresh rate. Also, it also offers a 2560 x 1600 resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio. The AMD and Nvidia’s elements are included as well.
As for the regular versions, the feature the next-gen Ryzen 7 and offers up to 32GB of RAM and 2TB of M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD. Both models will include the new Nvidia RTX GPUs. The 15-inch model is offered in three screen choices. Those choices include 15.6-inch FHD panels at 165Hz, 120Hz, and 60Hz refresh rates. The 17-inch version offers a choice between 144Hz and 60Hz.
