Bose’s announced new over-ear headphones that are based off the QuietComfort series. The new Bose headphones are the Noise Cancelling Headphones 700.
The Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 are wireless headphones with eight microphones to help to cancel out any outside sounds and improve voice pickup. Bose is so confident in the system’s microphone voice pickup that it claims it’s the “powerful microphone system for voice pickup.” From the looks of it, the 700 headphones are much more modern and updated compared to the QC 35s.
Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 Overview
Besides the eight microphones, the 700 headphones feature USB-C battery charging. Bose also claims that the battery will last 20 hours. The headband design seems to echo Sony’s 1000X M3s. Many have said that the Sony headphones headband is very comfortable. Additionally, the headphones support touch controls.
However, one of the most notable features is the 700’s voice assistant. It’s a major feature for the 700. Bose claims “you’ll be able to remain seamlessly connected to your phone without looking at it or even touching it.” Google Assistant, Alexa and Siri are all supported.
Bose AR
One of the more intriguing features is the new Bose AR platform. It works as an audio augmented reality tool. Bose says that the headphones can do things like give you directions if you just look at landmarks. So, say you are walking to the mall and you’re wearing your headphones; the headphones can tell you to turn left at the next Burger King to reach your destination.
