Acer has just announced two new Windows 10 gaming notebooks, those being the Predator Triton 900 and the Predator Triton 500.
The Predator Triton 900 is a 17-inch notebook that has a slim design and a convertible 4K display. As for the Predator Triton 500, it’s described as a 15-inch all-metal gaming powerhouse with a thickness of just 17.9mm.
“We are pushing the envelope on what a gaming notebook can be with designs that offer more uses while still packing in the computing power,” said Jerry Hou, General Manager, Consumer Notebooks, IT Products Business at Acer. “The Predator Triton 900’s one-of-a-kind flipping screen allows for multiple gaming scenarios and better ergonomics, while the Triton 500 offers superb gaming performance in a slimmer, all-metal body for gamers on the go.”

The notebooks use a CNC-machined Ezel Aero Hinge that flips, extends and reclines the 17-inch display. This allows users to switch between different setups for different situations. And while it can be used as a gaming laptop, it can also be used as a creator tool. This mobile computer can be set up in its standing mode for content creators.
The Triton 900 measures in at just 23.75mm thick.
The Triton 900 has the new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 GPU and a 4K IPS display with NVIDIA G-SYNC tech. It’s powered with up to a six-core high-performance 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, as well with NVMe PCIe RAID 0 SSDs and up to 32GB DDR4 memory.

The notebook features up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 GPU with Max-Q design, up to an 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, NVMe PCIe RAID 0 SSDs and up to 32GB DDR4 memory. Also, its 15.6-inch 300-nit IPS display offers a 144Hz refresh rate in overdrive at 3ms.
Keeping their cool

Also, the notebooks have Coolboost tech. That should keep them cool during long gaming sessions and while playing more demanding titles.
Control with a smartphone
Later this year, Acer will release the PredatorSense mobile app, allowing users to control the notebooks with a smartphone. Users will be able to control settings for overclocking, fan speeds, lighting and audio modes.
