I'm not sure whether this is the correct forum section for my query. I am a total beginner and I would like to record music and make videos for my songs. Would this laptop be suitable for that??
Laptop Toshiba Satellite L 850 1L1
Processor i7
Memory, 8 Gb RAM, supports max 16 Gb
Hard Disk 1 Tb
1 USB 3.0 and 2 USB 2.0
Windows 8
Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 767 OM, 2 Gb dedicated, DirectX, Shader 5.0
Thank you very much for your help.
It should be, but get an external hard drine USB to store your raw footage readind and writing to the same drive willalways slow things down
Is the hard drive SSD?
If the video editing program you will use supports graphics accelleration check if the graphics card in your new PC is supported. I have a desktop system with similar specs but it has a graphics card supported by Adobe Premiere Pro CS6. When I enabled graphics accelleration my editing and exporting speed jumped something like 3X and I can now view HiDef footage real time in the edit window. Also do upgrade to the 16GB memory.
