ParticipantHi all, I've got a laptop which uses windows 8.Does anyone know, or tried using Sony Vegas Pro 9 with windows 8? Not very computer technicle so don't know whether it affects the software. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

ParticipantI'm on several Vegas forums and don;t recall anyone trying this. That's not to say that it won't work, just that Sony won't support it as Pro 9 was, as I recall, designed for XP. You have nothing to lose but some time so go ahead and try it.

ParticipantI went back and searched a few forums but could not find anyone who had tried doing this. One thing to consider is buying it and then using it to upgrade to Pro 12 (cost is $190.00 U.S.) , assuming you have a powerful laptop that is as it will put additional stresses on your system. If you're not sure, download the free trial and see for yourslelf.

ParticipantThanks. I'm thinking about buying off of the internet so ,although it is quite cheap as it is an old version and also in Spanish, I don't really want to waste any money buying it, if it won't work.
