I recently read an article in Videomaker about RAID systems. It motivated me to start transferring some 90's backpack footage to digital so I could edit it. Now I need to know what I need to get to store the 6 hours of video on? Also, how much disk space should I get? My cousin, who's a tekkie, says all I need is a mirror system from Netgear. Any advice before I start ordering product would be appreciated. (p.s. I will be getting a new computer and editing program – currently using Pinnacle, going to upgrade.) Thx 🙂
How about a big external hard drive. An hour of video will require about 13.5 gigabites of storage space. Take it from there. Don't make things any more complicated than you have to.
