      Quite the newbie here.
I have some video files that I don't know how to playback and hopefully edit (very simple editing). Their format is 422 10-bit uncompressed sd.
I'm guessing that FinalCut Pro will do the trick, but for a pretty penny.
Any suggestions on what software to use?
      Thanks!

      That description is too vague.

What format are the files? i.e. MOV, AVI, MXF, ???

If you're a Mac user, then FCP X is the way to go.

If you're a PC user, have a look at Sony Movie Studio. There's a free trial and, if you decide to buy it, it's only $45 which won't break the bank:)
