      Hi,

I’m an amateur video blogger and have been using a Canon EOS Rebel T5 to shoot my videos. 2 things that frustrate me are: 1) The camera automatically shuts off after ~11 minutes of consecutive recording (I interview people and being able to record for a longer period of time is ideal, so the convo can continue naturally, w/out me anxiously watching my clock); and 2) it doesn’t have an external mic input (I bought a Rode VideoMic Pro and I can’t use it). I’ve been doing a ton of research, but I’m feeling overwhelmed with the options. Would anyone be willing to share their best recommendation with me? Here’s what I’m most interested in:

      – great video quality
      – can record longer than 12 minutes
      – compatible w/ external mic (like the Rode one I bought)
      – easy to use (that’s what I like a/b my Canon EOS Rebel T5; it’s pretty fool-proof)
      – easy to transport (often times, I travel with it)
      – within my budget $500-1500

Thanks for your help! I really appreciate it!

      Sascha
