I bought a new vision 3 tripod to go with my Canon XL2 camcorder in 2005. It hasn't been used for the past 11 years as I have used a smaller camera. Stored in a vertical vertical position with the head on top of the tripod at the dry attic with temperatures not lower than 5 degre Celsius. When i today turn the head 360 degre I can at some point I discover/feel a kind of a soft "bump". It slows down a for a second or two. It' doesn't bother me much, but I'm wondering what causes it. An almost unused Vision Tripod. – Lubrication?
My suspicion would be that the long storage and lack of movement is responsible. I would contact the manufacturer and see what they suggest.
