So I am new to videography. I have adobe premiere pro and after effects.

I will be working on music videos and I am looking to use heavy animation and effects.

I have an idea to have the subject skating on a board and as he ollies the board disappears from below with a small puff and he falls.

This seems near impossible to accomplish. Is there any way I can do this on a budget? And if not, how would professionals accomplish this?!

Thank you in advance for all of your answers!

I think the easiest way to do this is shoot it front of a Green Screen and Chroma key, then rotoscope the board out and put the puff of smoke there. You could have green mats for him to fall on, the way this can done does take a nuclear engineer to figure it out. Either way, this is going to be very time consuming to do.
