      SONY ANNOUCES TODAY INTRODUCTION OF OPTICAL FIBER ADAPTOR SYSTEM FOR HXC-D70 CAMERA SYSTEM AND PMW CAMCORDERS.
       
      Sony is now proud to introduce an ideal solution for those who require longer cable operation in their production facilities. The new fiber system will work not only with the HXC-D70 camera system, but also with the PMW-320/350/500 camcorders.
       
       
      Feature and Specifications
      All the functions of the existing HXC-D70/HXCU-D70 camera systems can be supported in fiber
      mode operation.
       
      The following function can be improved from Multi-Core system
       
      HD/SD SDI return input is available on HXCU-FB70.
       
      ENG/PROD line of Intercom is selectable on CA-FB70.
       
      Cable Length
       
      Up to 250m for supplying power between HXC-D70/ENG lens( ex: 16x)/CA-FB70/DXFC50W
      and HXCU-FB70 (Fiber cable)
       
      Up to 10km between HXC-D70/ENG lens( ex: 16x)/CA-FB70/DXF-C50W and HXCU-FB70 
      Local power with single mode fiber
       
      Up to 10km between HXCU-FB70 and HXCE-FB70 with single mode fiber and additional
      250m with standard fiber cable with power between HXCE-FB70 and HXC-D70/CA-FB70
