I’m not sure how to even ask this question. I saw a video lesson of a guitar player that had the screen shot of him playing plus in the corner a closeup of his findgers on the fretboard. Does anyone know how to do this, what software recording program to use? thanks Jeff B
This is usually accomplished with two recorded sources — that is, wide shot clips and closeup clips. You could do this with two cameras shooting simultaneously or with two separate takes. Bring both sets of clips into your time line, one above the other and create a picture-in-picture. In Vegas, for example, this would involve using “track motion” on the closeup line, reducing the size of the image to 1/4 of the screen. You could then position the small frame anywhere you choose.
