      Hi,

I want to replace my old Apple Cinema HD 23″ (1920×1200)
First I hesitate on the size and resolution.
This would be for use with a second monitor for mainly video editing, a little photo editing and sometimes video games.

Is 4k monitor is interesting for the video editing or 2560×1440 can be enough?
With a 4K monitor, i fear that the software interface was too small.
      I use Premiere and DaVinci.

      I choose anyway an IPS panel, 24 “-25” or 27 “?
My budget is 500$ or I can go up 700$ for the 4K.

After some research, I hesitate between the dell-benq-asus.

      Thank you

You might first want to verify the maximum output resolution of your video card. That might help you decide.

I will buy the new generation of Geforce GTX 1070 or 1080. I take this opportunity at the same time to change my main monitor.

      Thank you!

Maybe you can consider about FEELWORLD FW74K, it supports HDMI in 3840*2160.

      Cheers.

Check your video card maximum output as it may not support 4k. Honestly though I don’t see the point, it seems like too much. I think HD is fine as some programs I use are not built to integrate with 4k very well and end up with tiny windows that are difficult to use.
