Hi
I am looking to purchase a pro camcorder for mainly wildlife projects but also for general use. In particular I am looking for unit that will shoot in infrared mode but that also has a detachable lens housing so that I can use a wider variety of glass. All the units I have looked at seem to either have one or the other but not both and I can’t justify an me20f-sh at this stage.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
Canon makes two camcorders, the XA20 and the XA25 that both feature an infrared option. Although these are fixed lens cameras, they have an impressive f1.8, 20X optical zoom rlens. Canon does produce a wide angle adapter made specifically for this lens. The canon WA-H58 is a quality wide attachment with a 0.75X factor.
