I'm trying to convert the content of the mini DV tapes I filmed with my old Panasonic AG?DVX100 to digital files. I purchased a firewire card as recommended on this site but my Win 7 machine does not recognize the camcorder. I have changed the firewire driver setting to legacy as recommended by Adobe but no luck. I contacted Panasonic Pro Video and in response they recommended I purchase the original CD that came with the camcorder with the hope that there is a camcorder specific driver present, but they are not sure one exists… Does anyone have one of these old camcorders and can you tell me if there is a driver required for a Windows machine to recognize it?
