The Nikon D40 is an all new cost-effective, lightweight, point-and-shoot electronic SLR from Nikon, it follows on from the D50 but at a lot discounted and with a slightly different set of features. The greatest information however is probably reality that Nikon opposed the enticement to keep pursuing mega pixels (hooray for that) and instead appear to have focused on the thing that creates a excellent electronic camera, a excellent viewfinder, brief shutter lag, very brief viewfinder darkening. They’ve reduce some of the ‘less essential features’ (you can’t modify the visibility actions for example) but have packed a variety of new functions such as customized Automatic ISO which we accepted with the D80.

      Nikon D40 Body And Design
The D40 becomes the most lightweight Nikon electronic SLR to date, it’s slimmer in all guidelines and yet preserves a comfortable hold and durable ‘quality feel’ development. The a little bit curved top and ends give the electronic camera a considerably better overall look, perhaps more appropriate to the first time SLR market. Described previously despite being very a bit smaller than the Cannon EOS 400D (Digital Insurgent XTi) the D40 does not bargain comfort or ergonomics with a properly scaled hand hold and cautious back casting. The back of the electronic camera is taken over by the 2.5″ LCD observe which now enhances as a electronic camera position display as well as the normal picture review and choices.
