I do playback for my music videos by playing a song on my iphone, which is connected to a small speaker. The actor sings along to playback while I videotape on my Canon T3i(at 48k). In post, I make sure the song is also at 48K, and then sync everything up.

My question is: Should the song I use for playback while I’m shooting be 44.1 K or 48k? Or does it matter?

      Thanks!

      For playback it doesn’t matter.

Does not really matter, could be even lower quality if that’s all you have since it’s only for reference at that point.
