I am trying to find some grain overlays that are compatible with Avid studio. I made a short video using a free one but am not happy with it. I tried Gorilla Grain but it was not compatible with Avid. Any suggestions? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqahSO17fDc

Have you tried looking at Rampant Design's overlays? I'm not finding a whole package dedicated to grain, but they do have some that try to emulate the film look, so there may be something burried in there.

Do you need film grain or dust & scratches as shown in your video?

You can try this free grain plate for testing purposes: http://vegasaur.com/free-35mm-film-grain

It's a H.264 in MOV container. Does Avid Studio support this format?

Full package (http://vegasaur.com/film-grain) is available in Avid DNxHD format, so I guess it can be used in Avid Studio

Have you heard about BCC AVX MatchGrain already?
