I am aspiring film maker and I want to edit videos on my Intel i3 laptop. But it is so much laggy and I can't see the preview result. Do I need an i7 laptop for editing?
Depends on what you are editing. If you are editing 4k files then, yes, go for an i7 or better yet an i9. You will need the processing power. If you are shooting FHD (1080p) then you could get away with an i5, if you're not using too many effects. If you do have a lot of effects or graphics then get an i7. Also if you are using a lot of effects or graphics you may want to look at a better graphics card as well.
