      I recently built my own camera slider using some lego building pieces as well as some scrap materials I had laying around the garage.   I use this set up mostly with my GoPro camera, but it can be adapted for any lightweight video camera system.  Most of my video work involves backcountry canoeing and backpacking, so I wanted something small and easy to carry.  This is by no means considered a 'pro' solution, but it does allow me to get some cool shots that add a bit of flavour to my videos.  Please check out my short video:
