I'm looking to purchase a new HD camera for some work I've recently been hired to do and was hoping to find some suggestions here, as I am a bit of a novice when it comes to shooting video. I need a camera that shoots in 1080p and can capture detail at moderately high speeds. I've been told 1/1000 frame/sec would be sufficient. I'm not sure of the relationship between resolution and frame rate, so please excuse my ignorance if such a combination isn't possible. What's more, I need to find a camera – or perhaps additionally, some editing software that will allow me to place a continuous GPS stamp in additon to a time/date stamp on the video. Ideally this software will be compatable with Macs, but I'm flexibleo on that…but with grave hesitations. Any suggestions and help will be most appreciated on this end.
