Ok, i dont know much about this which is why im here. We have someone editing a video on pc. We have some content from someone else that needs added into the video on pc but it will be coming from a mac/fcp user. How does the fcp user go about saving/formatting the video so it cna be dropped into the timeline on pc with no issues? I appreciate any help. thanks
The answer is related more to the software capability on the PC. If it's a high end software it can take some of the FCP high quality renders. Most software has support for many types of MOV though, so start with that.
I have no problems importing ProRes files on my Vegas machines. I'm using QT player 7.6.8 at home and 7.7.1 at the office. The latest version has been known to cause problems with some editing software.
