Hi, I’m just new and currently shooting with with my Canon 5D DSLR. My current project has footage shot in different locations. One location is too far away and the venue concerned has offered to send me iphone footage to save me a trip. My files are .MOV and I guess the iphone clip will be MP4. How do these files go together in editing? Do I have to convert all my footage to MP4 in order to edit these files together? Thanks for any help…

If your NLE will import both formats (I’ve never used an NLE that won’t), then it won’t matter. You should be able to put them all on your timeline at the same time, and then export to the file format that you choose for the final video.
