Hello, In your opiniions, is this system– HP Pavilion 500-214 Desktop, AMD A8-6500 Quad-Core 3.5GHz, 8GB DDR3, 2TB SATA, 802.11n, Win8.1— sufficient for basic, short-form video editing? Short form meaning real estate videos under 5 minutes and very limited graphics and effects. Thanks for your input.

I have a laptop with a 525M Nvidia GPU, 2.4Gz quad core CPU, and a 500g hardive. It runs well for what i do with it, i have edited videos over 2 hours long with it, and it has been fine. I use Adobe Premire Pro as my editing software.
So i think your computer should work just fine for 5min videos 🙂
Hope this helps 🙂
