Small POV cameras like the GoPro and the Contour are great for active outdoor types who want to capture great video of their adventures. The problem is getting good sound. If the cameras are out of their housings, you can plug in a mic, but if the cameras are being used near the water/snow/rain etc. you'll have them in their watertight cases and won't be able to plug in a mic. The solution is to record your audio on a seperate device…this is called double-system sound and is similar to the way big budget films record audio. I've put together a short video showing how I use the GoPro with a Zoom H1.
