I hadn't attempted to shoot night video, since the International Space Station went overhead a few years ago. I had limited success on that one.
When I first set up, I couldn't get the moon in focus. Thankfully, I started well before the show started. I employed the neutral density filter and viola!
Unfortunately, I left it on too long and lost some of the color during the darkening phase. The lightening phase made up for it though.
The moral of this story – Try your neutral density filter when shooting bright objects at night!
