As a film major graduate, looking to enter the video content creation space in a media company, how do you go about deciding what type of content to produce to appeal to employers? It’s been a grueling application process and I’m interested to know if anyone has any ideas for producing content to appeal to these types of employers and show off my skills, or if something else is to blame. Specifically, it becomes difficult (in my mind) to show off editing skills with the content I have produced now.
I’m not entirely set on the type of content I would like to produce professionally outside of just the documentary, docu-style sphere (as opposed to narrative film). Any advice you guys have would be great!
Thanks so much and look forward to hearing your responses.
