hey guys im looking for a new lens for cinematography, i am currently working with a canon 700d and the kit 18-55mm lens, i do not have a lot of money to spend on a new lens as i’m only 15, my price range is around £200 or $300 ish.
the type of content i will need the lens for will be automotive cinematography and like promotional videos,i will add a link to my YouTube so you can look at what i mean here https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC9WUzO7isNcvtvZ_NlB9C-g.
if anyone could help me that would be awesome
      thank you!!
      Liam.

So, in that sort of price range you’re going to want to be looking at prime lens. Typically stuff like the 50 MM F1.8 or the 22 MM F2.8 Pancake lens, both from canon. They’re relatively inexpensive (in the $150-200 price range) and create a very nice image with a shallow depth of field.

Hello! For such purposes, you can use a great number of lenses. I would like to recommend you a few options: you can take a 50mm f/1.8 – this is a very good option for your budget; I personally prefer a Helios with 58 mm f/2 (http://helios44-2.com). The latter is the perfect solution for the money it costs. Both lenses are great in terms of drawing a picture, I think you should go for one of them. Well, I have been using the Helios for a very long time, it is simple and well-made lens. Good luck to you!
