Hey everyone!
Total amaetur here. Was hoping someone would be able to help me out. Currently my organization owns a Sony HVR-V1U from 2003. We use this for Live Recording a Speaker from about 100ft away, as well as shooting basic interviews that are much closer up and static.
Because this is still a tape and from 2003, I have been looking into upgrading into something that takes a Compact Flash or SD Card for ease of use, while also looking into a quality jump, etc. I was looking at the Canon XA25.
Can someone help me out and tell me what are the pros and cons of moving from the Sony HVR-V1U to the Canon XA25? Anything I may run into?

Appreciate the help from people smarter than me! 🙂
