A bit of background. Gospel Day commemmorates the arrival of the gospel in the Cook Islands. Each of the six villages on Rarotonga presents a short religious play – nuku – that includes plenty of dressing up, singing, dancing and laughter. This year’s theme was ‘spreading the gospel’ and this video shows the village of Avarua and their nuku about Barnabas sailing off to do that.
