ParticipantWell as much as i would like to have a sony fs7000 for 1080 at 240fps for awesome slo motion, its just not in my budget this year. What other options are out there for awesome 240 fps slow motion for under $3K? please do not mention the iphone 6 plus or gopro. I need better than that. Any help will be appreciated.

MemberYou may have a hard time finding a 1080/240p camera that costs less than the FS700.
If you can live with 1080/120fps, however, there are several reasonably priced options:
<$600 Panasonic V750 1080p camcorder (1/2.33" sensor):<$900 Panasonic FZ1000 UHD ("4K") superzoom (1" sensor):If you need 120fps slow motion from a large, DSLR-sized sensor, you can get the $1499.99 1080/120p capable Samsung NX1. Here is what this camera can do at Full HD and 120fps:
If 120fps isn't slow enough, you can always rent the FS700 over a weekend for $295.95, shipped to your door.
Hope this is helpful!

ParticipantThose are remarkable. Yes thank you very much. I kept searching and nothing much would come up. These are great solutions. Im sure once in post production that 120fps will be fine. But again thank you very much.

ParticipantIm shooting UTV and rock racing like ultra 4 desert racing so the slower the better to be able to catch the shear violence that these cars are going through. I'll will definately give these options a look.
But Im still open to anyone else's suggestions as well.

ParticipantI’m not sure if I’m too late to the party, but I found this camera, the Sony RX10II, offering native 240 fps performance (and not interpolated from native 120 fps such as is done with the Panasonic HC-VX870) at under USD1400 from B&H Photovideo:
