Next Lesson: Progressive & Interlaced
When you embark on any video project, the path from inception to a finished project requires making a vast number of decisions that will affect the look and feel of your project. When you fire up your camera, you’re immediately bombarded with numbers on your lcd. Things like 24p, 1/48, f5 and more. It can be a little overwhelming. Choosing the right settings and understanding your camera controls will give you the results you want, and make your workflow as smooth as possible. This course will teach you to shoot with confidence, and answer that common question “why does my footage look this way?”. But before you even pick up a camera to get started, you should ask yourself two questions. What is your project about, and how will it be watched. These are important questions because a video about sports may use different settings than a short film. And a project that is destined for the big screen will have different settings than one destined for mobile devices.Once you’ve got these two questions answered, you’re ready to fire up the camera, and get started.
