What’s the most commonly used editing software in news studios for videographers these days?

Would learning from the “Final Cut Pro for News and Sports Quick-Reference guide be relevant today?

Do you have any book suggestions that might be useful to learn from for computer news editing?

      Thanks

Most have a live editing bay they’ve built exclusively out of screens, monitors, and production boards.

In the Salt Lake City area, I’m also seeing NewTeks Speed Edit.

FCP and Avid news cutter. They simply have no need (or budget) for anything higher end.

For my company we use the Adobe Suite. It’s professional works great and I like it a lot better then Avid or Final Cut.

MFT, or micro four thirds, is a popular mount style used by many manufacturers in conjunction with the micro 4/3 sensor. It’s good to keep in mind that micro four thirds camera systems use a smaller sensor.
