What’s the best editing software?

Hi all: I am new to video editing but I am pumped to get into it. I am getting some video editing software but am not quite sure what to get. I have two ideas already:

Adobe Video Collection 2.5 Pro

and

Premiere Pro + Ultra

In your opinion what should I go with? Or is their something that I haven’t mentioned that would be better?
