      hi there

i want a digital camcorder, but totally not sure which one. this would be to shoot random events, such as goofing off, vacations, my pets, possibly childbirth, etc. nothing major, like weddings hehe.

i have had a few digi cams, most current one is a nikon coolpix s3.

what i’d like to do is be able to transfer or download the video i take from the camera to my computer. then i’d like to be able to burn the movie to a disk to be able to watch in a DVD player or send to friends/family so they can also watch.

i’ve also seen the camera where you can record off a dvd-r/rw. if this is easier or better than the option above, i am all for it.

what would you recommend i buy?

i am not looking to spend more than $500, but would consider paying more for the right item.

      thanks in advance!

THE PANASONIC PV-GS 300 IS A VERY GOOD BEGINNERS CAMCORDER BUT THERE ARE ONLY A FEW LEFT BECAUSE THE NEW REPLACEMENT IS THE PV-GS 320 AND NOT AS NEAT IN MY OPINION. X-D
