Hello, does anyone know how to turn off the automatic power-off feature on the camera? We are using it for a studio camera in a middle school TV program and need it to stay on for live switching… please help!
Thanks!
do you have a tape in the deck? I know the vx-2100 will stay on with no tape in the deck, but if you have a tape in there, it shuts off after 5 minutes to prevent damage.

Try putting it on photo mode, I use mine for monitoring for hours..Cheers.

God you people know nothing. Take out the tape. The auto shut off cut entirely. Of course if you are recording you need OL. It could be worse if you had a GL2. When it shuts off it forgets its name and shits itself (all your presets are lost) Gerry in Calgary
Gerald, if you looked at my response from 11 months ago, that is what I stated, but thanks for reiterating my point. In the future, try to be more constructive and less critical in your responses please.
