While the Videomaker Forum Community & archives offer a great deal of information, I also like to read books dealing with video production. To date, I have not found a good reference site that list resources and my memory does not work well regarding books recommended by forum posters and I am not organized enough to write them down at the time. Videomaker certainly has some great material available through the website, however, it would be nice to have a broader reference list, particularly with recommendations from Videomaker Forum contributors. So, If you know of a Videomaker Book & Media list, let me know. In the meantime or in absence of that list, I have set up the Video Business Host Forum Reference Books Listomania on Amazon.com. I am hoping to add books as I come across them or as they are recommended. If you have a book or media that you think is good, let me know & I will add to the list. Your reviews will be vital.

One of our moderators, EarlC, is a veritable treasure trove of good things to know – He has several publications for sale.

If you use Sony Vegas, Douglas Spotted Eagle’s books on it are a very useful reference and users guide.

It doesn’t hurt that both Earl & Spot are just really great guys as well, although Spot is a bit crazy as he thinks he’s a flying squirrel (he wingsuits).

Thanks’s Bruce. Updated list with Spot’s books. Looks like Earl is not on Amazon so his work will have to be referenced seperately.

John – Earl’s stuff can be acquired on Lulu.com if I remember correctly (Earl?).

John: You might find this site useful. I monitor it every week for broken links and add to it periodically when I find new books and articles, both off-line and on.

http://www.videoccasions-nw.com/video_biblio.html is a fairly comprehensive bibliography of materials related to virtually every aspect of video.

I’m always happy to get input from folks who visit it.

      Jack
