I used to use Video Director, about 20 years ago and have a lot of VDR files on my computer that I cannot read. They require the Video Director application or “something” else that can read these text files. I’ve tried a hex editor with no luck. These files are basic EDL files and I would like to convert them as I still have the Super8 film and VHS videos that they apply to.

Don’t send me to those unhelpful people at Pinnacle, who bought Golddisk, the manufacturer of Video Director.

Can anyone help me out there?

      Maybe this will help?

Reaper claims to read EDL files:

I hope that helps, I don’t know anything about EDL.
