I’m taping games for the local high school coaching staff. I have been using a Dazzle dvc90 and studio9 plus, and getting along. But now having trouble with alot of frame drop on capture. Would like to up grade to give them a better end product. I have a Dell 755 Optiplex 2.4 dual core quad with 4 gig of ram. Any suggestion?
What cam are you using? Does it support firewire? If your cam and software support firewire, I would capture that way. Your PC should be enough, but you may also want to make sure the HDD is fast enough. If you have a slower drive, maybe you can get a new secondary drive that is faster and use it just for the capturing.
