Heres my situation. I have one vx1000 and two dsr 200s that still work great. Would shooting with anamorphic lenses and up converting the resulting dv footage to hd with a utility like Instant HD make sense opposed to dropping a bunch of money on 3 new hdv camera? Any thoughts?
Thanks,

In my opinion, if you want HD footage, then it is better to shoot in HD. SD footage upconverted will not look as great as footage shot entirely in HD.
If you decide to go ahead and get HDV cameras, you should consider the Canon HV20 or HV30, as it is one of the best “consumer” camcorders under $1000.
