I have been filming and making short movies for about 2 years but recently I have been looking into buying a nice tripod, I heard there was an article in one of the Videomaker magazines but I couldnt get a hold of it. What I really want to know is what is the difference between the heads. Like Panhead, Fluid Panhead, Fluid head, and Ball head. I want one that will allow me to have smooth turns and pan while filming. The tripod I have now isnt very good at that, like it sticks and backlashes. Could someone help me out here please.

If your serious about a tripod, go with a fluid head………

      “True Fluid Head”

also read this month’s special issue buyers guide for comparitive listings on tripods, and other stuffs. It’s a great resource to have lying around.
