I was flipping around last night and found the original 1998 version of Titanic in HD, I dont know what they did to it but it looked very much like daytime soapsvideo? I know the original was film but it was very soft yet sharp? it even seemed to have less depth of field? anyone else notice this?

Sometimes newer HDTVs running at 120Hz or 240Hz make movies shot at 24fps look cheap by displaying them at such a high refresh rate. Look for a setting in your TV’s menu called “Auto Motion Plus” or something similar and disable it. Movies should start looking a lot more film-like.
