I have a Sony CCD-TRV 108 that plays hi 8 tapes and I wanted transfer the footage onto my computer. The only thing I have heard to do was to purchase a DVC (Dazzle, etc.) and hook it up via S-Video.
Few questions come in:
1. I have been looking for a DVC like Dazzle and only see them to be discontinued and out of stock. Where is a DVC that I could buy and which one would you recommend.
2. I have Windows Vista and most of my research, I found that most DVCs are not compatible with Windows Vista. What DVCs run with Vista or what could I do to have the DVC run with Vista.
3. Using a DVC, will the 8mm footage transfer with fairly good quality?
I don’y know much about camcorders but if you could help me, that would be great. Thanks.
