ParticipantHi. could someone show me the techniques used to achieve the smooth look on peoples faces? sort of like the pores, blemishes and wrinkles and minor skin imperfections are smoothed out yet the outlines like the eyes, ears, nose looks sharp and in focus?

Duplicate the layer, add blurs, glows, and color correction as desired, make it’s opacity 50 percent.

Participantdon’t limit yourself to software solutions, there is also lighting solutions such as soft or on-axis lighting, make-up, diffusion filters, overexposure and contrast controls that can all be effective at the shoot phase… “Fix it in post” implies you botched it “in camera”.
combining several pre and post techniques is always gonna get better results.

MemberDoesn’t ALWAYS imply, Don. Sometimes things done in post aren’t fixes, they’re production enhancements 😉
