My final destination is an .flv file. I’m starting out with a live analog feed to an Osprey 240 capture card. I am on Premiere Pro 2 for Windows. I would like to keep the files at 640×480, 30fps (non-drop-frame) from capture through Export.

What I need to know is the best file format (AVI, QT, other), codec, and data rate/quality settings for capture, and the same for Export Movie from Premiere. The goal is to end up with the highest possible quality source video – short of being uncompressed – to make into .flvs.

If I am asking in the wrong place, please let me know a better place to ask.
