I have noticed that on two separate occasions….Canon HV40 and XH-1A on the capture footage there are some red frames…sometimes it may be three frames and some time they are one second long….any idea what that might be?
Red frames are dropouts. These are usually caused by either inferior or damaged tape or dust and dirt on the tape heads.
Solution is simple.
#1: always use high quality tape
#2: clean the tape heads before use
Wonder..I am using a a Mini DV Tape Head cleaner…would that be the best or should I be using something else…
