The manual for the Canon HF200 states that an external mic should be of condenser type. I already owned a dynamic mic (Sony F-220), tried it, and it works fine.
Did I get lucky with this mic? is the manual wrong? I used this mic with 2 miniDV cams, Elura 100 and Pany GS-250 and I think their manuals specified condensers too.
