Hey guys, I am probably going to get the Pinnacle Studio 9 AV/DV to start off, and I was wondering if the Pyro A/V Link would make a really big difference in picture quality compared to just the Av/Dv card that Pinnacle comes with. Any Help would be greatly apprecitated.

Get the Canupus ADVC 100 or 110. It’s much better and for about the same price.

“Much better”? There ain’t no such thing as “better/worse” when it comes to digital capture. It’s just a transfer of bits (aka 0’s and 1’s) from the tape to the hard-drive via a Firewire (aka IEEE1394 aka iLink aka a high-speed serial port) connection. Remember?
So all cards do it the same. Even an integrated Firewire port on the motherboard will provide the same “quality”.
