A friend said switch my HF10 to PAL for better editing????

For better editing in what? where?
It’s simply a format difference per locatin of the globe. Better quality than America’s standard, as with everything else but compatability is certainly an issue is NTSC land.. which is what we are here in the states.
Unless posting for a project across the pond, there is no need to confuse the issue.
