I have a bunch of AVI files I think were created by reading MiniDV tapes in a Sony HC40 wwith maybe, a capture utility from samsung camcorder. Well, the sound cannotbe read in Vegas 7. GSpot says the Audio codec is “0xFFFE Extensible wave format”

Very frustrating since these files CAN be edited normally in Nero 6, Ulead– older software installed long before Sony Vegas

      any tips VERY appreciated!!

      Friend,

I think you have to convert them in nero to the format that vegas will take. I use nero to convert any file and to compress audio or video. it is good for any change.
